Diffusers For Essential Oils Are Available For Everyone

By Georgia Diaz

Everyone can use diffusers for essential oils in their homes or businesses. They help maintain alertness, ease stress, and simply smell wonderful. There are many forms that they can have, anything from an electric whole-home style to a personal pendant or desk style.

Probably the most common diffusers for essential oils is the simple tea light warmer that has been with us for many years. These have a glass or ceramic bowl with water in it that is built about a spot for a tea light candle to be lighted and placed. With just a scarce amount of oil added to the water, the fragrance will soon be throughout the room and the glow of candlelight adds welcome ambiance.

Another option that heats the oil is the electric style. Heating the oils allows the fragrant molecules to escape quicker. The electric style uses a light bulb under a glass or ceramic bowl to heat the oil. Still, there are others that utilize a fan to increase the scent being release. The latter do not use heat, but rather a few drops of oil is added to an absorbent pad that air is fanned across.

A beautiful distributor of scent is a reed diffuser. The container that holds the essential oil can be elaborate or simple and blends beautifully with any style. Some of these hang like a picture, eliminating using space on a desktop or counter. Reed diffusers for essential oils don't have to use actual reeds. Absorbent clay sticks in a wide variety of styles are available which can also add to the atmosphere of a room.

Clay that is unsealed will absorb and distribute the healing benefits of oil, too. There are many forms of this type available, some that are sealed except for the area that the scented oil will be applied to, eliminating oil transfer. With so many options of sizes, styles, and colors readily available, it is undeniably a wonderful way to increase scent where you want it most.

Nebulizer style diffusers are the absolute most effective way to add fragrance to an entire room. These machines propel air through a chamber that is filled with fragrant oil allowing the unit to diffuse microscopic droplets into the air. Very modern and not necessarily beautiful in appearance, they are available in many sizes and most have some light options and are simple to use. Just fill the chamber, install it into the unit and plug it in.

For the person who is allergic to wearing an oil applied directly to the skin, or if a cold is making them suffer, using a pendant style is ideal for a light scent. They are so very personal that only the individual wearing it will benefit from it, and they are very beautiful to wear.

Think about where you want to place your diffusers for essential oils before purchasing them. Depending on the type you prefer, you might find that the efficiency of one type is more suited to a larger room than others. Reed diffusers are ideal for small rooms or in just a small location such as a desktop. Nebulizers are efficient and are better for a bigger room.
