If it's been a while since you've had a banana then it's time to go out and get one. Eating bananas is one of the best things that you can do for your body. This awesome fruit is loaded with vitamins and minerals which will re-energize you in the short run and keep you healthy in the long run.

Did you know that bananas have no cholesterol? They have no sodium either. One banana has about 105 calories depending on it's size, and about 3 of those calories are from fat. They also have 3 grams of fiber, one gram of protein and about 14 grams of sugar.

Because of the fat and sugar content, you can't go overboard and eat bananas all day. However, a banana a day never hurt anyone. In fact, you burn fat just processing this funny looking fruit!

Because of the vitamins that this fruit contains like, vitamins B6, C, A, magnesium and potassium, they are what help fight against muscle cramps. They also help regulate blood pressure.

But burning fat is just one benefit this fruit brings, they help to reduce swelling and build white blood cells, as well as strengthen your bones and help to prevent heart diseases.

Bananas have fiber, and this helps aid your digestion. Unlike processed snacks, which will only leave you hungry for more garbage, bananas make you feel full and very energetic.

There are health experts that say that bananas are way better than any energy drink out there on the market. Next time your around one of those energy drinks take a look at what's inside, can you even pronounce some of the ingredients? Bananas give the body everything that the body needs to go the distance, without the caffeine. The energy boost you get from one banana is of a better quality, because it's natural.

Now if your having trouble downing a few bananas, don't force it, especially if you don't like the way they taste. And if your having a hard time digesting them then there's other options.

Instead, why not use their flavor by making a delicious smoothie? Bananas add sweetness to a smoothie drink because of their moderate sugar content. Frozen bananas or bananas and ice may even give your health drink an ice cream like texture.

You can add this awesome fruit to a side dish, a fruit bowl or cut some up and throw it in with your cereal. Either way it's going to taste great and your going to get the energy you need along with all the vitamins and minerals your body craves for. Bananas are cheap and you can find them in any grocery store, even the organic ones are cheap. So give it a chance, try it out, you just might find a new thing to start eating.
